    Fantastic, thanks for the prompt responses guys. I'll take a look at the spots mentioned and the windwanderers link and may well try and make it our this Saturday!! WQ Club Committee Nominations  01 Aug 2008
The AGM is called for Tuesday 26th August, 2008. To be held at 9/58 Deshon Street, Woolloongabba at 7 pm.

Due to the recent re-structure of WQ the new committee will be comprised of the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer. Nominations are to be received no later than the close of business on Monday 25th August 2008. Please forward nominations to the Secretary via the Contact Us page.

As there has been a re-structure of Windsurfing Qld, the committee will allow immediate past full members to have voting rights, even if they have yet to take out current club membership.

Bayside Sailboards  31 Jul 2008
As part of the restructure of the WQ club, Bayside Sailboards has been setup to cater for your windsurfing racing needs at Manly and Wellington point. In their words:

"We sail primarily out of Manly and Wellington point, and focus on promoting the disciplines of slalom and speed sailing, as well as general free-ride. The club is responsible for running Slalom regattas, Speed sailing competition and the ever more popular GPS sailing." Forum Change Notice  
Laurie at Seabreeze has very kindly created a WQ area on the Seabreeze website. This will allow WQ members to communicate within the wider windsurfing community as well as on a club level.

Many of you are familiar with the Seabreeze site and already have accounts set up. For those that don't you can register here: Seabreeze Registration.

For anyone that has any posts they want to keep in the existing forum, you will need to get in there before we make the transfer, which will be on or soon after the 14th March.

WQ Racing Round 7 - Manly  
This Sunday is the 7th and final round of what has turned out to be a great series of racing. View the Notice of Race.

We're expecting a decent South Easter: Seabreeze says 20/25 knots, BOM says 20/30.. Either will do!

Arrive around midday for registration at 13.00, briefing 13.30 and racing starts at 14.00.

Round 6 of Windsurfing Qld's slalom competition is taking place this Sunday at Lake Cootharaba. Registration is at 12.30.

Qld State Titles V2  
Due to the wind not fully materialising on attempt 1, the State Titles will be re-run on the 3rd February at Manly.

For those familiar with the rules, the summary is: turn up at Manly at 9.30, registration closes at 10.30, briefing at 11 and racing at 11.30. $30 entry fee - no charge if already entered. For those who like all the details read the Notice of Race.

A big thanks to Simon and all the committee members for making the first event a great weekend with or without the wind. All us members appreciate the time and effort you guys put in preparing and running the events.

Windsurfing Qld Round 3!  28 Nov 2007
Round 3 of the WQ slalom series is this Sunday (2nd December). Please arrive at Wellington Point by 12pm so everyone has time to sign on by 1pm.

Current forecast is 10-15 knots ESE. Surely with the law of averages, taking into account the 2 round 2 attempts, we are due some wind! See you at Wello.

Round 2 Re-run  09 Nov 2007
Round 2 of the slalom series will be re-run on sunday the 18th november, at Darling Point Manly. There will be no further charge to competitors who attended the event on the 4th. New entrants are welcome, the race fee will be $15.00. Sign on is at 12pm sharp closing at 1pm with race briefing at 1.15pm. Racing will start at 2pm.

We look forward to a good turn out and lets hope for some better winds. See you on the water!

2008 National Formula Event  
The 2008 Australian National Formula Titles website can now be seen at: http://www.fw-australia.com/. The event is being held at Suttons Beach, on the Redcliffe Peninsula from the 22nd-25th January.
